Management Accounts Assistant (Hybrid Role - 3-6 months) Our client is actively seeking a Management Accounts Assistant to join on an initial temp basis (3-6 months). This role will provide essential support to the Financial Controller across a wide range of accounting, reporting, and compliance activities. You’ll gain exposure to management accounting, financial control, budgeting, forecasting, and statutory reporting, while also collaborating with other business functions. This position offers hybrid working:
2–3 days from home. What you’ll be supporting with
Management Accounting Helping prepare monthly management accounts in line with reporting deadlines
Completing reporting templates for group consolidation
Assisting with variance analysis vs budget & forecast
Maintaining the fixed asset register and project reporting
Producing financial reports for monthly reporting packs
Financial Control Supporting reviews of financial processes to ensure compliance
Assisting with cash reporting & forecasting, including working capital improvements
Helping with balance sheet reviews & reconciliations
Liaising with internal auditors to provide requested information
Budgeting & Forecasting Assisting with preparation of budgets & forecasts for P&L, balance sheet & cash flow
Financial Reporting & Compliance Supporting external audit queries
Assisting with statutory accounts preparation
Helping with VAT returns, corporation tax data, and other government reporting
What we’re looking for
A strong interest in management accounting and financial reporting
Strong excel capabilities (vlookups & pivot tables are a must)
1-2 years previous finance experience
