The Role:
A highly reputable and specialist legal 500 law firm are seeking an experienced Paralegal to join their leading Trust and Court of Protection (TCOP) team in Sheffield. Working in a specialist department renowned for its expertise in deputyship and trust management, the successful candidate will manage a caseload of Court of Protection and private trust matters, providing holistic support to vulnerable clients and their families.

Key Responsibilities:
Manage your own caseload of deputyships, trusts, and attorney matters
Build and maintain strong, empathetic relationships with clients and their families
Oversee clients’ finances including property, investments, and budgets
Liaise with financial advisors, care professionals, and other legal representatives
Make payments, monitor income and expenditure, and ensure compliance with MCA 2005 and deputy standards
Prepare for and follow up from client meetings and professional reviews
Assist with investment decisions and documentation in line with trust or deputy duties
About You:
Previous experience in Court of Protection or Trusts work preferred
Candidates from Personal Injury or Clinical Negligence backgrounds with transferable skills also considered
Strong communication skills and the ability to interact with clients at all levels
Excellent organisation, time management, and case-handling skills
Confident using Microsoft Office, legal case management systems, and document management software
