As the company continues to grow and evolve, it is looking to recruit an experienced and commercially driven Senior General Manager to join their team at their Ellesmere Port site. Key Responsibilities Lead and deliver the site’s long‑term operational strategy in alignment with group goals Oversee all day‑to‑day operations across production, engineering, maintenance, logistics, and support functions. Drive lean manufacturing, continuous improvement, and efficiency initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce cost Champion world‑class Health, Safety & Environmental standards, ensuring full compliance with UK legislation Own and manage the site P&L, delivering revenue, margin, cost, and productivity targets Develop budgets, forecasts, and capital expenditure plans to support operational and strategic priorities Lead, coach, and develop a multidisciplinary management team, fostering a culture of accountability and high performance Oversee supply chain, procurement, and inventory management to ensure smooth material flow and customer fulfilment Build and maintain strong customer relationships, supporting commercial discussions, pricing, and contract performance Ensure quality standards, compliance, and certification requirements are consistently met, driving root‑cause analysis and corrective actions Job Requirements Proven senior leadership experience within manufacturing, chemical, heavy industry, or a complex industrial environment Strong technical understanding of processes such as casting, rolling, forging, machining, or heat treatment Demonstrated ability to manage large teams and multiple functional areas across an entire site Customer‑facing leadership experience, including involvement in commercial meetings and business development Strong financial acumen, with experience owning site‑level P&L performance.
