Canterbury Environment Company Ltd are recruiting an HGV Mechanic / Workshop Fitter The mechanics role will include: Working in a public sector which provides an essential service to Canterbury and its local communities Working as part of a team of fleet technicians, keeping the vehicles roadworthy and legally compliant Maintenance and repair of HGV & LCV waste collection vehicles What’s in it for you! Working pattern: Working pattern is Monday – Friday 39 hours per week guaranteed An 8-hour shift between 06.30 and 19.30 (finish) -Typically 06.30 to 15.00 and 09.00 to 17.30 Saturday catch ups following a bank holiday are required. About you: We are looking for an enthusiastic mechanic, who enjoys a variety of tasks within a workshop environment. Experience of ancillary equipment is not necessary as training will be provided. Your knowledge: HGV / LCV chassis & engine maintenance Ability to diagnose and repair mechanical defects Your experience: HGV Mechanic / Technician Your Skills Good communicator, both verbally and written Be a team player who works towards common goals Ability to adjust to changing situations Methodical approach Your qualifications Fully skilled mechanic having achieved a full level 3 HGV mechanic apprentice qualification/City and Guilds Qualification/NVQ qualification Clean CAT B driving license So, if the HGV Mechanic role is the right role for you, simply email or call for an informal chat.
