This UK-based fund manager is looking for an ESG Regulations Analyst to join their London or Edinburgh team.
This role is integral to embedding stewardship and sustainability into the organisation's client and regulatory processes. The successful candidate will contribute to ESG disclosure, data analytics, and regulatory deliverables, helping to ensure the organisation meets the expectations of regulators, clients, fund managers, and broader stakeholders as appropriate.
Responsibilities include:
* Lead and articulate the firm’s response to ESG regulatory developments and recommend priorities and actions for the firm’s consideration.
* Ownership of horizon scanning for ESG focused regulatory updates applicable at fund and firm level
* Assist with policy and procedure maintenance and governance across the group regarding ESG regulatory matters and the firm’s broader stewardship approach
* Maintain and develop stewardship and ESG data systems, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and auditability
* Help to manage relationships with ESG data vendors and ensure data quality and usability
* Lead ISS relationship, including the coding of the organisations voting policy and when questions/issues arise related to voting activities
Experience required:
* Proven experience in ESG regulatory reporting and operational activities within asset management or financial services
* Strong understanding of ESG frameworks, regulatory requirements (e.g., SFDR, TCFD, SDR), and stewardship codes
* Experience with ESG data platforms and tools (e.g.ISS and AlphaSense)
* Strong data and analytical skills, with proficiency in Excel; familiarity with Power BI, Tableau, or similar tools desirable
Hybrid working is 3 - 4 days per week in the office.
