An established accountancy firm in Glasgow City Centre have an exciting opportunity for an enthusiastic and ambitious young person to support their Administrative and Insolvency teams as a Modern Apprentice
Please note this is an initial 12 month Apprenticeship contract but there are opportunities to progress within the company following this for the right candidate.

Admin Support Team- Our Admin Support team is front facing and are often the first contact clients & visitors. We aim to present a professional image of the firm and deliver excellent customer service to both our internal and external customers.
Insolvency- We have several departments within the Insolvency team, dealing with both Corporate & Personal Insolvency cases. This role will work within the Support team.
This role is to support both the Admin Support & Insolvency Teams in all aspects of general administrative support tasks. The role includes covering Reception, directing calls and greeting all visitors & clients. The role is busy, varied and customer facing. It requires excellent communication and organisation skills.
Key Responsibilities- Admin Support Team
Act as main point of contact for Reception
Answering switchboard, redirecting calls, taking messages
Meeting and greeting all visitors to the building
Dealing with incoming and outgoing mail
Overseeing meeting room calendar bookings
Ensuring that all meeting rooms are clear & refreshed each morning
Check meeting room schedules each day to ensure adequate resources in place
Contributing to office maintenance and facilities support
Any other appropriate tasks, as directed
Key Responsibilities- Insolvency Team
Maintain and update all relevant IT platforms – CCH, VC, IPS and AIB each day.
Produce basic template letters outlined by IPS for approval by senior staff members (approximately 20 letters produced daily)
Answer Insolvency switchboard and take/pass on messages (approximately 10 calls per day) as well as diverting calls from reception
Insolvency mail: Incoming mail, scanning each day (approximately one hour) outgoing mail, 95% via email to Postworks (approximately one hour per day)
Complete administrative tasks; maintain cases with no assets, conducting reviews on cases, accounts circulars.
Along with the duties in your role, you will undertake a Level 6 SVQ in Business and Administration and will be supported throughout.
You will have the opportunity to learn about different aspects of the role of an administrator in 2 departments and about the importance of confidentiality.
You will learn how to communicate with team members, clients and external partners to provide a high level of customer service
Ability to work within a busy office environment
Educated to NAT 5 level, or equivalent, and hold appropriate qualifications in Maths, English and ICT
You must have a quality approach to work and be confident in the use of Microsoft Suite – Word, Excel & Outlook
