If so then this could be the role for you. Newcastle City Council are looking to appoint a full time permanent senior practitioner to the Multi Agency Safeguarding Hub. As a key member of the leadership team, senior practitioners are expected to assist the team managers in supporting the team with case issues, facilitate practice improvement and motivate practitioners to provide the highest standards of practice.
The senior practitioner carries a caseload of complex cases but also has opportunities for co-working and supporting the development of others within the team.
About you: You must be an experienced social worker who is registered with Social Work England.
You will have experience of carrying a complex caseload within statutory Adult Services and experience of assessing and managing risk. You will have strong communication skills and be able to liaise effectively with other agencies. You will also have experience of working in partnership with service users and carers to achieve their desired outcomes.
You will have experience of application of relevant legislation including the Care Act (2014) and Mental Capacity Act (2005) and have knowledge of best practice and current trends in Adult Social Care.
