About the role
Connex Education is seeking a dedicated full-time SEND Teaching Assistant for the local authority starting October 2025. This vital role, paying up from £90 – £95 per day, focuses on supporting Key Stage 1-4 students with SEMH. Working with students who have been excluded requires exceptional patience, empathy, and specialised skills.

Assignment Details
This role provides an excellent opportunity to make a real difference in at-risk learners’ lives. Candidates must be based in Teesside or surrounding areas. As a successful SEND Teaching Assistant with Connex Education Partnership, you will possess
* Hold a relevant Qualification in SEND or Teaching Assistant
* Have experience working with individuals with SEN
* Good time management and organisational skills
* Confident in your behaviour management skills
* Calm, resilient and able to communicate well with young people
* Hold a current DBS on the update service or willing to apply for a new one through Connex
* Team Teach trained- preferred
* Be able to show proof of work in the UK
