Job Title: Small Plant Mechanic

About the Role
Colten Developments are looking for a reliable and proactive individual to join our team as a Small Plant Mechanic. This is a varied, hands-on role combining equipment maintenance, fleet coordination, and operational support.

Key Responsibilities:
Small Tool Fitter Duties
* Carry out routine maintenance on small tools, pumps, generators, and plant machinery
* Perform repairs to ensure all company-owned equipment is safe and fit for purpose
* Diagnose faults and troubleshoot mechanical issues efficiently
Assistant Plant & Transport Manager Duties
* Source, negotiate, and manage hire plant and equipment rates
* Support the management of the company vehicle fleet
* Liaise with suppliers to negotiate competitive pricing for repairs and servicing
* Provide cover for the Plant & Transport Manager during absences (previous experience not essential)
General Duties
* Operate company 7.5-tonne vehicles (CPC preferred but not essential)
* Operate warehouse forklift truck
