Hours: 12.5 hours per week


Job Summary

This post is only available to all permanent and temporary employees and agency workers currently on assignment within East Dunbartonshire Council.

Please note that salary will be pro-rated for part-time and term-time hours.

You will assist the school with non-teaching duties including administration, preparation of teaching materials, and supervision of pupils during intervals and lunchtime.

Under the direction of the School Support Manager, you will primarily support departmental Principal Teachers by providing clerical and support services within the school to assist in curriculum delivery. This includes working in the Home Economics department assisting with preparation, cleaning, and other relevant duties.


PVG / Disclosure Scotland

The following criteria apply to all roles within East Dunbartonshire Council where PVG/Disclosure checks are essential:

Successful candidates for Regulated Roles under the Disclosure (Scotland) Act 2020 will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme Update check before employment is confirmed. The cost of the check will be deducted from the first salary payment, or in some cases, in installments following employment commencement, as approved by the HR & OD Manager. If employment ends before deduction, the full amount will be deducted from the final salary.

This requirement applies to both new applicants and existing employees applying for roles requiring a PVG/Disclosure check.
