A typical day in the life of a Corporate Finance Executive
1. Support the partner in leading M&A transactions from start to finish, including liaising with clients, lawyers, funders, and other advisers.
2. Conduct valuations of various businesses, either as standalone engagements or to support M&A assessments.
3. Prepare Pathfinders and Information Memoranda as key components of the business sale process.
4. Review potential acquirers and targets by analyzing websites and collaborating with partners across the UK and overseas to prepare client presentations.
5. Develop financial projection models, working closely with clients to validate assumptions.
6. Assist with fundraising activities, including identifying funding sources, liaising with funders and clients, and responding to information requests.
7. Participate in financial due diligence to support transactions involving fundraising, private equity, and M&A.
8. Support pitch preparation and delivery through research and analysis.
9. Suggest updates and improvements to departmental processes and systems.
10. Build a network of contacts within the North-East professional community and serve as an ambassador for Corporate Finance in the region.
