Our team in Darlington is looking for a Recovery Worker to provide high-quality recovery care to a diverse client group. WithYou in Darlington at STRIDE offers free, confidential services, without judgment, to adults and young people facing challenges with drugs and alcohol. As a Recovery Worker, you will support and advise people experiencing difficulties due to substance misuse, working within a skilled multidisciplinary team that will support your development and ability to deliver quality care.

About the role

Our Recovery Workers support clients in identifying goals, creating treatment plans, and guiding them on their recovery journey. This frontline role involves providing continuity of care through partnership working, care coordination, key work responsibilities, and intervention delivery. You will manage an active caseload, connect quickly with clients, and treat everyone with respect and dignity.

We seek a compassionate, motivated individual with strong relationship-building skills. Experience in health, social care, criminal justice, or a related field is preferred, or a genuine motivation to work in the sector. A proven track record of reliable customer service is essential.

You should be highly organized, possess excellent communication skills, and manage your time effectively. Collaboration within a team to maintain high-quality service is key. We value passion, positivity, and an engaging approach to clients and stakeholders.
