Job Overview
We are looking for someone to join us on a permanent basis as a valuer/ lister specialising in prime and rural properties across York and North Yorkshire. This role is based within our residential lettings team, and primarily at our city-centre office in York. The ideal candidate will possess excellent organisation and communication skills, with a keen eye for details, be skilled in establishing strong client relationships, and have a passion for the property market.
Role Description
Looking out for new business opportunities, arranging and conducting valuations. Building and maintaining strong relationships with both premium clients and investors
Onboarding new landlords and advising on lettings legislation
Preparing properties for marketing, including writing descriptions, arranging photography appointments and making sure properties are presented to a high standard
Organising viewings with interested applicants and assisting with viewings as needed, providing viewing feedback to landlords
Agreeing new tenancies, checking through applications, negotiating between landlord and applicants, organising safety certificates and inventories
This is predominantly a front-end role, overseeing the client journey from property valuation to start of tenancy
The role would be based at our York office, with appointments to take place across North Yorkshire and East Riding
You would have the autonomy to manage your own diary and appointments
What are we looking for?
Previous residential lettings experience required, ideally within a senior negotiator or valuer/ lister role
Understanding of the high-end or rural lettings market
Meticulous attention to detail, problem solving and negotiation skills
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Ability to work under pressure, manage time and handle multiple tasks
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team
ARLA Level 3 qualification desirable / interest to undertake qualifications
Full UK driving license
*Ideally, we are looking for someone on a full-time basis, however flexible working/ part-time hours would be considered for the right candidate*
