We are looking for an experienced Head Chef who has drive and passion and ambitions to run and operate their own business in the future.
The initial role would be to build the food side of the business alongside the owners and work towards taking control.
The current owners will be retiring from the day to day management and looking to hand this over either with a partnership, lease or sale within the next five years.
We are a traditional country pub with a solid reputation for good food, we have grown into a well supported thriving business over the last 5 years.
We have invested heavily in the pub opening a new restaurant area and bar area, we are currently refurbishing the main bar area and the exterior of the pub.
For the initial role we are looking for an enthusiastic chef that can fit into our young buoyant team. We would like to improve our food offering whilst increasing profit, this goes hand in hand with kitchen management, great standards and organisation.
The right candidate will have the ability to adapt and diversify proactively with new ideas in order to keep relevant and profitable.
The initial salary will be reviewed regularly with clear opportunities for increases based on individual contribution, profitability and business growth.
The position is a 4 day week from Thursday to Sunday with a standard working week of 40 hours.
This is currently not a live in position.
Our kitchen is open from Thursday evening through to early Sunday evening which allows our kitchen team to take a good break each week.
We are a privately owned and managed business with plans to continue improvement and development, we are looking for the right team member who wants to invest, enjoy and benefit from our successes.
