Job Overview: They are looking for a diligent and detail-oriented Practice Accountant to contribute to their firm's success by providing comprehensive accounting services to our clients. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in accounting principles, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Prepare and analyse financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
2. Perform bookkeeping duties, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations.
3. Assist clients with tax planning, compliance, and filing requirements.
4. Provide advisory services to clients on matters such as business structure, financial management, and regulatory compliance.
5. Conduct financial audits and reviews to ensure accuracy and compliance with relevant regulations.
6. Develop and maintain strong client relationships through regular communication and exceptional service.
7. Stay informed about changes in accounting standards, tax laws, and regulatory requirements to ensure compliance and provide proactive advice to clients.
8. Collaborate effectively with team members to ensure timely and accurate delivery of services to clients.
9. Participate in professional development activities to enhance skills and knowledge in accounting and related areas.
Requirements
Qualifications:
1. Qualified Accountant (ACA, ACCA, or equivalent) preferred.
2. Experience in public accounting or a similar role.
3. Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, Xero, Sage) and Microsoft Excel.
4. Strong understanding of tax regulations.
5. Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
6. Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
7. Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise effectively in a fast-paced environment.
