Your RoleEF Brighton International Language Campus is looking for responsible and culturally intelligent Residence Advisors to join our team for summer 2025. In this role, you'll create a welcoming and secure environment where international students feel at home, supported, and part of a vibrant community.Position Details:
1. Zero hours contract (around 10 - 25 hours p/w)
2. Due to the nature of the role, the position entails evening and/or weekend shifts
3. July – August 2025

5. Meet & greet new students on arrival
6. Coordinate student arrivals and departures
7. Inform arriving students about the student code of conduct
8. Assist with checking in & taking students to rooms
9. Regularly check rooms to ensure facilities are in good condition & being well maintained & cleaned
10. Ensure that reported maintenance issues are dealt with efficiently by residence staff
11. Undertake residence walk throughs
12. Assist students with problems and liaise with staff responsible about any issues
13. Ensure that residence rules are being adhered to and reporting all issues to Manager
14. Organise and partake in residence student activities
15. Escort students to welcome orientation each Monday morning
16. Accompany under 18 students to medical appointments
Requirements
17. Given the on call nature of the position, a flexible, hands-on approach to nature & hours of work undertaken is essential
18. Highly motivated, energetic, positive
19. Customer service orientated, friendly & approachable manner
20. Able to remain calm under pressure & to diffuse potentially difficult situations
21. Sensitive to needs of international students living away from home
22. Excellent communicator with students, colleagues, and external clients
23. Attention to detail, organised & thorough
24. All offers are subject to a clear enhanced DBS check and two references
25. Legally able to work in the UK at commencement of employment
