The Opportunity Our client is now seeking an experienced Quantity Surveyor to take a lead commercial role across responsive repairs, cyclical decorations and lifecycle works within a major housing maintenance contract in Lewisham. This is a key position ensuring accurate cost management, value for money, and strong commercial performance across a diverse programme of works spanning all core trades, including electrical, plumbing, carpentry and more. Based in Dartford & Lewisham, the role offers a hybrid working model, giving you the flexibility to balance office and home working. Key Responsibilities * Full cost control and commercial management of maintenance and repairs contracts * Procurement of subcontractors, materials and plant, including negotiation and order placement * Preparation and reconciliation of cost/value reports and profit forecasts * Ensuring all subcontractors and suppliers meet required standards and compliance criteria * Financial assessments and value‑for‑money analysis * Day‑to‑day cost monitoring, reporting and commercial administration * Processing subcontractor applications and invoices This is a full‑time, Monday–Friday role (8am–5pm). Experience within refurbishment of social housing stock will also be considered. NHF Schedule of Rates knowledge and familiarity with local authority property services contracts are essential.
