Within your first year, youâll learn the core skill set such as applying emulsion to areas with brush & roller, gain knowledge of preparation i.e. filling, sanding, stripping and the importance of leaving your work area tidy every time â great for clients and efficient for you. Youâll learn various aspects of Painting & Decorating. At the end of your 4 year apprenticeship you will be a time-served qualified painter and decorator. Youâll have a positive, can-do attitude to tasks and colleagues alike. Youâll have excellent timekeeping and attendance records and a willingness to communicate and work hard. Youâll ask plenty questions and impress your peers and managers through your interest and diligence.\n
