This is an exciting opportunity to join the Directorate for Strategic Planning and Student Administration (SPSA), which is at the forefront of supporting and enhancing the student journey through the University. The Student Records Support Officer role sits within the Student Record Systems team, supporting the University’s student information system (SITS). The role ensures that student data is accurate, reliable and supports key stages of the student lifecycle, including enrolment, modules and associated processes. The postholder will support the maintenance and processing of student record data, contributing to the effective delivery of operational activities across the academic year. This includes supporting curriculum and module updates, resolving data issues, and maintaining documentation and system processes. The role will also support wider University initiatives, contributing to activities such as system testing, process updates and improvements, as the University continues to enhance its student record systems and services. The successful candidate will be a proactive, detail-focused individual who enjoys working with data and systems and is a strong team player. They will be able to plan and manage their own workload, apply judgement in resolving routine issues, and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure a consistent and high-quality service. A flexible approach to work is essential, particularly during peak periods such as enrolment. Experience of working with data systems is essential. Experience within Higher Education or familiarity with student record systems would be advantageous but is not essential. The ability to communicate in Welsh is desirable, but not essential.
