Job Description
We currently have 20 exciting field based veterinary opportunities to join our Field Delivery England team.
* Responding to incidents and outbreaks of animal notifiable diseases.
* Investigating animal diseases in farm livestock (welfare investigations, transport, killing, on holdings).
* Inspection, approval and audit of premises (zoos, pet food plants, other settings).
* Ensuring compliance with statutory standards of animal health and welfare.
* Building collaborative relationships with local authorities, industry representatives and non-APHA veterinary surgeons.
All posts will be offered in merit order based on location and business need.
Responsibilities
* Regular travel throughout the week to carry out duties.
* Work away from home on short-term detached duty, overnight stays when required.
* Participate in on-call rota and UK detached duty rota.
Qualifications
* Bachelor of Veterinary Science or equivalent.
* Member or Fellow of the Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons, UK Practising status at commencement.
* Valid UK driving licence and access to a vehicle.
* Proficiency in written and spoken English.
