Deputy Headteacher – Sutton – January 2026 Start (Permanent)
We are seeking an experienced Deputy Headteacher to join our client School in Sutton from January 2026. This is a permanent leadership opportunity for a dynamic individual committed to driving high standards in teaching, learning, and student outcomes across Key Stages 3–5. The successful Deputy Headteacher will play a key role in supporting the Headteacher and SLT in delivering the school’s development plan, while embodying the school’s values: Community, Inspiration, Success.
As Deputy Headteacher, you will lead on areas such as curriculum oversight, quality of education, and staff development. You’ll also work closely with safeguarding teams, support school operations, and play a pivotal role in shaping school culture through student leadership, enrichment, and community engagement.
The ideal Deputy Headteacher will:
* Hold QTS and have significant senior leadership experience, ideally in a secondary setting.
* Have a proven track record of raising attainment across KS3–KS5.
* Demonstrate strong skills in curriculum design, data analysis, and staff CPDL.
* Be an effective communicator and an inspirational leader, committed to inclusion, wellbeing, and continuous improvement.
This Deputy Headteacher position offers the opportunity to help lead a thriving 11–19 Academy with over 1,250 students, including a strong Sixth Form.
