About the role
This is a varied and rewarding position combining school office administration with classroom-based support.
As part of the school admin function, you will:
1. Act as a first point of contact for pupils, staff, parents and visitors
2. Provide general office and administrative support
3. Maintain accurate records and handle sensitive information
Alongside this, you will also:
4. Support teachers in the classroom as a Teaching Assistant
5. Work with pupils on a 1:1 basis and in small groups
6. Assist with behaviour management and maintaining a positive learning environment
7. Help pupils access learning and stay engaged in lessons
This is a fast-paced role requiring strong organisation, adaptability, and a positive, proactive attitude.
The role will begin on a supply basis, with the potential to become permanent for the right candidate who demonstrates reliability, professionalism, and a strong work ethic.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you will:
8. Have previous administrative experience (school experience desirable but not essential)
9. Ideally have experience working with children or in a primary school setting
10. Be confident, approachable, and highly organised
11. Have excellent communication and interpersonal skills
12. Be adaptable and able to manage a varied workload
