Substance Misuse Case Manager - Criminal Justice Team
The Alcohol & Drug Service (ADS) is a registered charity that has been transforming the lives of people affected by drugs and alcohol misuse for over 40 years. Aspire is a partnership between ADS and Rotherham, Doncaster and South Humber NHS Foundation Trust (RDaSH). It combines the strengths of NHS provision, led by a consultant, with the voluntary sector provided by ADS. This partnership has collaborated for over 20 years to provide Drug and Alcohol Services to local communities. It is a forward-thinking and innovative partnership that works closely with recovery communities to deliver flexible, responsive services aimed at achieving the best outcomes for service users and the community.
Main duties of the job
The criminal justice team supports individuals involved in the judicial system to lead meaningful lives. The team works closely with courts, probation, and prisons to help steer people away from crime and offending, often underpinned by addiction issues. Candidates with relevant experience in substance misuse, a degree in criminology, psychology, social work, or a diploma in Adult Care, along with Level 3 Tackling Substance Misuse or equivalent, are encouraged to apply. We also offer a comprehensive package of accredited qualifications for experienced candidates without formal qualifications, and support for newly qualified Social Workers through the ASYE programme. To arrange an informal discussion, contact Louise Braisby or Phil Scales at 0300 021 3900.
The successful candidate must have the right to work in the UK by the start of employment.
About us
ADS has been delivering effective interventions for over 30 years across Humberside, Lincolnshire, and Yorkshire, helping thousands on the road to recovery. We are a registered charity (Charity No. 1108595) and a company limited by guarantee (Company No. 05375809). Our funding primarily comes from contracts with statutory bodies like Local Authorities and the NHS, supplemented by grants and fundraising. Governed by a Board of Trustees, we are committed to quality, holding a Silver award from the Investors in People scheme.
While we have been transforming lives for decades, we often work in partnership and deliver services under different project names, which may mean our work is not always directly attributed to us.
