An established regional civil engineering and construction contractor is seeking an experienced Estimator to join their dynamic team based in Bridgend. Operating across a wide range of sectors including infrastructure, marine, energy, water, and public realm projects, the company is known for delivering high-quality, sustainable solutions across Wales and the Southwest. Key Responsibilities: * Prepare accurate and competitive cost estimates for tenders across civil engineering and infrastructure projects. * Analyse drawings, specifications, and other documentation to prepare comprehensive pricing strategies. * Liaise with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain quotations and assess cost effectiveness. * Attend site visits and pre-tender meetings to assess conditions and build project understanding. * Work closely with the pre-construction and delivery teams to support value engineering and programme development. * Manage the preparation and submission of tender documents to meet client deadlines. * Contribute to risk assessments and identify opportunities for cost savings and efficiency. Requirements: * Proven experience as an Estimator within the civil engineering or construction sector. * Strong knowledge of first principles estimating and pricing mechanisms. * Familiarity with estimating software (e.g., Causeway or similar). * Excellent numerical and analytical skills with strong attention to detail. * Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple tenders simultaneously. * Strong communication and negotiation skills. * A team-oriented mindset with the ability to work collaboratively across departments. * Experience in sectors such as marine, water utilities, or public infrastructure. * Degree or equivalent qualification in civil engineering, construction management, or a related field.
