A globally recognised engineering and defence organisation is seeking an experienced Interim Quantity Surveyor to support its commercial team on a portfolio of high-value, complex projects. This contract role offers the opportunity to make an immediate impact within a secure and technically advanced environment, contributing to critical national programmes.
* Lead cost management activities, including forecasting, budgeting, and reporting
* Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts and procurement packages
* Provide commercial oversight across project delivery teams
* Identify and manage commercial risks and opportunities
* Administer contracts in line with agreed frameworks (NEC 3/4)
* Evaluate and manage variations, claims, and final accounts
* Support stakeholders with commercial and contractual advice
About You
* Demonstrable experience operating as a Quantity Surveyor in a contract/interim capacity
* Strong background in engineering, construction, infrastructure, or defence-related projects
* In-depth knowledge of NEC 3/4
* Highly organised with the ability to deliver in fast-paced, deadline-driven environments
* Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
* Degree-qualified (or equivalent experience) in Quantity Surveying or related field
* Professional membership (e.g., RICS, CICES) is desirable
