'Lapland' the experience is a 4-hour immersive experience of the Father Christmas story and secret world of the Elves, told through rich storytelling and interactive activities. We are a theatrical live event held in Ascot, honouring and celebrating the wonderment of childhood through our magical world.
In 2007, when the magical door first opened into Lapland, Mike and Alison Battle who were parents to four young boys felt compelled to create a truly magical experience that reflected the value they placed in their children’s fleeting belief in Father Christmas. Fifteen years and a million visitors later the ambition remains the same, the continued success of the business and rapid pace of growth is underpinned by the commitment to support families in savouring and celebrating this most precious moment as they travel through their children’s childhood led by the creative inspiration of Mike and Alison.
Role Overview
6 week contract with part & full time opportunities available.
Retail Assistants are key members of the team at LaplandUK as they are the face of Lapland while guests are in our retail areas. The role is a great opportunity for enthusiastic guest focused individuals to join a friendly team in a fast paced and collaborative environment. Based at our Ascot event site the Retail Assistants will be responsible for engaging with families and enabling them to take a memory of their day home with them along with making sure that the stores are clean and tidy and well stocked with Lapland items.
Responsibilities
Consistently meet and exceed customers’ expectations, by welcoming guests into our stores and engaging with the families while following the Lapland operating procedures and sequence of service.
Have a thorough knowledge of all the products in the retail outlets and be able to make appropriate recommendations to the guests.
Talk to guests in a friendly manner.
Actively offer services and additional items to improve the guest experience.
Follow all relevant costume and process standards.
Key Attributes
Enthusiastic and willing to learn and be part of Lapland.
Bright and articulate - Excellent verbal communication skills.
