About the Role
Receptionist:
As a Receptionist at Taplow House Hotel, you will be the welcoming face for our guests and a key part of their experience. Youll deliver exceptional service from arrival to departure, ensuring every guest feels valued and cared for.
Key Responsibilities:
Welcome guests and manage check-ins and check-outs to the highest standard
Take payments and complete administrative tasks accurately
Respond to reservations and general enquiries in person, over the phone, and via email
Anticipate guest needs and offer thoughtful, creative solutions
Provide clear and helpful information about the hotel, its services, and local attractions
Assist other departments when needed as part of a supportive, close-knit team
Essential Requirements:
Excellent customer service and communication skills
Positive attitude with both common sense and creative thinking
Keen eye for detail and a proactive, hands-on approach
Experience working in a busy hotel reception or similar customer-focused environment (e.g., spa, restaurant, corporate reception)
Desirable:
Experience in a premium or luxury hotel setting
Familiarity with ResLynx & ResDiary
Intermediate or advanced IT skills
Basic understanding of reservations procedures
Hours of Work:
40 hours per week (full-time)
