A Little More About Your Role…
* Based at WSP’s Edinburgh or Glasgow offices, working within a UK-wide team of Surveyors including Topographical, Measured Building & Buried Services Surveyors and UAV Pilots.
* Managing your own projects.
* Carrying out below ground utility and drainage surveys.
* Ensuring quality assurance standards are followed on site and in the office.
* Mentoring junior team members.
YOUR TEAM
* Surveying Services (UK)
* Working mainly on surveying projects based in Scotland.
* Serving a varied client base from Local Authorities to Multi-Discipline Consultants.
* Reporting to survey team leads in Edinburgh/Glasgow.
* Expect a hardworking environment with city-based offices, excellent transport links, shops, cafés, parking, and train stations nearby.

* What we will be looking for you to demonstrate…
* QCF Level 3 and Level 5 in Utility Mapping and Surveying, or relevant qualifications such as a main degree, HND, or engineering modules. Candidates with suitable skills and proven experience will also be considered.
* Proven experience in fieldwork for below ground utility and drainage surveys using Electromagnetic and GPR techniques.
* Experience working to PAS128 standards, including GPR data collection and post-processing.
* Ability to process fieldwork into 2D & 3D CAD drawings and survey reports.
* Experience with total stations and GNSS.
* Topographical Survey experience is a plus but not essential.
* Strong communication skills for engaging with the public and team members, and ability to operate in all weather conditions, including at night.
* Commitment to ongoing CPD.
* Ability to critically evaluate work done by others and contribute to technical excellence and innovation.
* Full UK driving license required due to travel needs.
