Night Shift Logistics Manager - Minworth,
Monday to Friday, 19:00-04:00,
£52,000 per annum,
30 days holiday plus Bank Holidays including a Christmas shutdown.
Leading a team of 2 Supervisors, 2 Co-Ordinators and approx. 20 Warehouse Operatives along with HGV1 Drivers both employed and third party.

Logistics Manager - Nights
Logistics Manager / Group Logistics Manager
Responsible for all logistics activities within the central warehouse at Minworth, encompassing warehousing, trunking and radial deliveries.
Key Accountabilities
· Responsible for all aspects of Health & Safety across the PM / Night Shift, including inductions and training, operating procedures, near miss / accident reporting and emergency procedures
· Ensuring an average of 300t of goods are despatched to 13 depots on time, in full in the most cost effective way 5 nights a week
· Continually develop logistics and Despatch teams ensuring competencies, skills and qualities are consistent with requirements for the future
· Effectively manage all employment matters, including recruitment, development and disciplinary issues within the teams, working with HR / Senior Management where appropriate to address and resolve issues accordingly
Knowledge, Experience and Skills
· In-depth knowledge and experience of Logistics, supply chain management and transport planning.
· Experience of leading a high performing team in a fast paced environment
· Must have the ability to make and convey difficult and challenging decisions at all levels
· Must have strong analytical skills, be data driven, using data to influence, challenge and drive performance and compliance
· Ideally holds a Transport Manager CPC (not essential)

Person Specification
· ‘O’ / ‘A’ Level or similar
Work Experience
· Operated at Logistics Manager / Operations Manager level at medium sized logistics sites in excess of over 50,000 sqf
· Experience of managing warehouse, trunking and radial delivery operations
· Strong background in shipping and receiving, inventory control and forklift operations
· Experience of managing medium sized teams of c. 30
· Ideally knowledge of narrow aisle and high bay racking
Skills and Abilities
· Must be comfortable managing alone in the absence of more senior management and possess a high level of resilience
· Proficient in Warehouse Management Systems (WMS), such as AS400 and process improvement methodologies
· High degree of organisation, must be able to handle conflicting priorities
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a confident, open and honest style of communicating.
· A determined, adaptable and ambitious professional with a ‘say what you do, do what you say’ attitude.
· Hands on approach, not afraid to get involved and lead from the front
· Demonstrated experience working night shifts in a high volume, operational environment
