FIELD SERVICE ENGINEER (MIDLANDS) This leading UK pump rental solutions provider delivers specialist support to the water, environmental, quarry and construction industries offering a bespoke and genuine 24/7, 365 days-a-year service. We are looking for a Field Service Engineer to join the fantastic team at the newly formed Midlands Depot in Swadlincote, Monday to Friday 8-5pm. This role will be responsible for carrying out diesel and electric engine and pump maintenance on customers sites and in the Midlands Depot workshop. In return the Field Service Engineer role will offer an attractive salary of £36-£38.5K enhanced overtime (Door to door) Call out pay bonus training & development. The role also offers a vehicle with fuel card and expenses. The ideal candidate will have a background in pump hire, plant hire or utilities sector and have both workshop and field based experience with an NVQ in Plant Maintenance/Mechanical Engineering (or equivalent). About The Role The Field Service Engineer role will be responsible for carrying out diesel and electric engine and pump maintenance on customers sites and in the Midlands Depot workshop. Due to the nature of the operations this role will involve being part of a call out rota, which has a standby allowance plus excellent overtime payment. Duties: * Diagnose and repair mechanical and electrical pumps faults * Install and service pumping equipment at customers locations * Perform preventative maintenance and emergency repairs * Carry out on site breakdown support across the Midlands region * Maintain accurate service documentation and job records * Comply with PPE and health & safety at all times * Keep service vehicles and work areas clean. Safe and organised * Represent the company professionally at all times with clients Skills and Experience: We are looking for someone who has a real passion and willingness to learn, what you’ll get in return is great long term career opportunities within the niche pump industry. Essential Skills: * NVQ in Plant Maintenance or Mechanical Engineering (Or equivalent) * Experience with engines, pumps or heavy plant equipment * Full UK driving license (Essential for field based work) * Strong fault finding, diagnostic and repair skills * Ability to work independently and communicate clearly with customers * Flexible and willing to work on a call out rota and occasional overtime.
