Overview
A specialist SEMH school in Reading is seeking a bright, enthusiastic Mental Health Assistant to support students' academic learning, emotional wellbeing and behaviour. This is a full‑time role starting ASAP, working with children aged 8‑18 who require consistent, child‑centred support.
Responsibilities
Support students’ academic learning, emotional wellbeing and behaviour in a therapeutic setting. Work alongside on‑site therapists and psychologists; receive mentoring, shadow professional sessions and support children with special educational needs and mental health challenges.
Qualifications & Experience
Previous experience in a similar role is desirable but not essential. Graduates in Psychology, Counselling, Criminology or related subjects are strongly encouraged to apply. Ideal for aspiring Educational Psychologists, Occupational Psychologists, Therapeutic Support Workers or SEN Teachers.

* Location: Reading
* Salary: £85‑£100 per day
* Full‑time: Monday‑Friday, 8:30 am‑3:30 pm
