About the Role
We are seeking an experienced Senior Systems Administrator to join the Technical Operations team. This role is critical in supporting, developing, and maintaining our technical systems and platforms, ensuring resilience, security, and performance across servers, storage, networks, and cloud technologies.
You will provide 3rd Line Support, lead technical improvements, and design solutions that meet complex business needs. This position also involves maintaining governance, change management, backup/restore processes, and security compliance in collaboration with other technical teams.
Key Responsibilities
1. Administer and support technical environments including MS Hyper-V, Windows Server 2016/2019+, NetApp, MS Exchange/Office 365 hybrid mail, and enterprise components (Active Directory, SCCM, DHCP, Failover Cluster Manager).
2. Design, configure, and deploy Server, Storage, and Networking solutions to meet business requirements.
3. Provide expert administration and support for Cloud platforms (Microsoft Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
4. Analyse complex business requirements and deliver secure, resilient, and scalable solutions.
5. Troubleshoot and resolve high-risk technical issues, coordinating with internal teams and external vendors.
6. Ensure operational health of systems: security, availability, performance, and reliability.
7. Maintain detailed documentation, dashboards, and reports on system performance, resource consumption, and license usage.
8. Uphold governance standards for change management, audit, and security configuration.
Essential Skills & Experience
9. Proven experience in 3rd Line Support and enterprise-level system administration.
10. Strong knowledge of Microsoft technologies (Windows Server, Hyper-V, Active Directory, SCCM).
11. Hands-on experience with Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, Google Cloud).
12. Expertise in storage technologies (NetApp) and hybrid mail environments.
13. Familiarity with ITIL processes and security best practices.
14. Ability to analyse complex problems and deliver proactive, long-term solutions.
