Offer description

The continenceservice provides care and support to adults and children within NEL who have abladder or bowel problem. They liaise closely with community nursingcolleagues, care home staff and GPs to ensure appropriate care is delivered.The Continence Service also provides education to other healthcareprofessionals to enable a high standard of clinical care to be delivered acrossdisciplines within Care Plus Group.

The post holderwill be part of a specialist Continence team and will be responsible forproviding vital administrative support to enable an effective and efficientservice delivery.

Salary: Range 2 £21,841 (Under 21) £23,875 (21 and over) pro rata per annum, fixed point, pay award pending

The post holder will be part of a teamresponsible for providing vital administrative support to the nursing staff to enablean effective and efficient service delivery.The successful candidate will need excellent telephone skills and beable to communicate with people of all communication levels. You will follow clear guidance and proceduresand be supported by the Admin Assistant and Senior Administrator to ensure asmooth service delivery.

Person Specification


Qualifications

* Literacy and numeracy level 2
* Level 2 or equivalent qualification in computer applications
* NVQ Level 2 Business Admin


Other

* Ability to work flexibly with regard to working hours/arrangements and venues
* Ability to demonstrate commitment to Care Plus Group core values


Experience

* Recent experience of working in an office/reception (within the last year)
* Experience of working with the public (both face to face and on the telephone)
* Competent in Microsoft office including Word, Outlook & Excel
* Experience of working with people with varying levels of communication skills/abilities
* Experience of working in a care environment


Knowledge & Skills

* Effective communication and organisational skills
* Ability to demonstrate diplomacy and tact
* Ability to work as part of a team
* Ability to work on own initiative
* Awareness of confidentiality
* Ability to work accurately
