Kitchen Assistant, Rosepark. We are looking for a passionate, creative and caring individual to work within our talented catering team. This role is for 16 hours per week at Rosepark.
As a Kitchen Assistant, you are an essential member of our catering team, helping to ensure the smooth operation of our kitchen and enhancing the dining experience for our residents. You will assist in the preparation and serving of nutritious meals, working with the kitchen team to cater to residents’ preferences and dietary needs, including those with special dietary requirements. You will engage with residents to build meaningful connections and support a hospitality-style approach to catering, contributing to seasonal menus that promote choice and independence.
Responsibilities
* Set up and clear dining areas; maintain high standards of cleanliness, food safety, and hygiene in all kitchen, serving, and dining areas.
* Help keep the kitchen and equipment clean and ensure safety and hygiene protocols are followed.
* Assist with preparation and serving of meals, taking into account residents’ dietary requirements.
* Engage with residents to provide a welcoming, hospitality-focused dining experience and support menu development where appropriate.
Requirements
* Effective communication and the ability to work well as part of a team.
* Good attention to detail; experience in a similar environment is preferred.
* Basic Food Hygiene certificate; knowledge of correct use of kitchen equipment; familiarity with COSHH and HACCP regulations.
