Our client, a leading manufacturing company are seeking to recruit an Engineering Technician based in Ballymena.
The role: Engineering Technician - Temporary approx. 6 months (Pennybridge)
(Multi-Skilled Electrically Biased, Shift Position)
As an integral part of the multi-skilled engineering team, your responsibility will be to optimise the performance of automated production filling and packing machinery and ancillary services. Working closely with production colleagues you will ensure that equipment is properly set and maintained; monitoring performance and carrying out fault diagnosis and running adjustments/repairs as necessary in a fast paced fresh milk production environment.
Your job will include:
* Developing and implementing continuous process improvement projects
* Routine preventative maintenance
* Overhauling mechanical plant and machinery
* General building fabric repairs
* Maintaining and monitoring consumption of M&E utilities
* Providing support for the installation and commissioning of new plant and equipment.
Desirable Criteria:
* Candidates should have significant, recent and relevant experience to the role, ideally at least 3 years post apprenticeship.

Hours of Work: per week on 8-week rota cycle, working 6 weeks of days and 2 weeks of nights split out over the cycle (normally 4 x 12hr days in row with exception of one week at 5 days that includes a 9hr Saturday). Nights are 5 x 9hrs in a row.
