Position Overview
We are looking to recruit a highly-motivated Commercial Development Lead to support The Horton’s growth and long-term sustainability. As an independent charity, earned revenue will help to maintain the operation of our beautiful listed heritage building and grow our community, arts and heritage programming.
Responsibilities
* Identify and secure new business opportunities, initially focusing on daytime commercial venue hire for meetings, conferences and events.
* Secure sponsorship and partnerships to support our programming.
* Network and conduct in-person outreach with businesses, partners and at trade events.
* Communicate and manage stakeholder relationships.
* Promote The Horton’s brand and activities.
Qualifications & Requirements
* Strategic thinker with strong stakeholder management and communication skills.
* Passionate about spreading the word about The Horton.
* Ability to travel locally and own reliable vehicle preferred (driving license required).
* Experience in business development, sponsorship or partnership roles beneficial.
Employment Details
* New full-time role, 32 hours per week (0.8 FTE) considered for suitable candidate.
* Initially a fixed-term one year contract with a view to extension.
* Role based at The Horton with local outreach.
