About the Role
As a Logistics Team Leader, you’ll support the Logistics Manager in overseeing all operational activities within your value stream. You’ll lead a team of up to five associates, driving performance, implementing best practices, and ensuring health & safety and operational KPIs are met. You’ll play a key role in fostering a high-performance culture while maintaining strong cross-functional relationships across departments.
Key Responsibilities
Lead and motivate a team of logistics associates to meet performance targets.
Conduct daily briefings and ensure effective communication across shifts.
Collaborate with other departments to adapt to changing customer demands.
Monitor output, uphold health & safety standards, and support warehouse tasks.
Implement SOPs and sustain continuous improvement activities.
Conduct HR processes including absence management, return to work, and disciplinaries.
Load outbound trucks and ensure accurate shift handovers.
What We’re Looking For
Essential:
3+ years’ experience in a warehouse/logistics environment
1+ year supervisory experience leading 5+ team members
Strong IT skills including Microsoft Office
Confident, proactive, and capable of handling challenging conversations
Desirable:
IOSH Managing Safely or equivalent H&S qualification
Experience using SAP ERP/WMS systems
Forklift license (counterbalance & reach truck)
Knowledge of lean manufacturing tools (e.g. 5S, Six Sigma)
First Aid qualification
