What you’ll be doing
* Managing mechanical project delivery from pre‑construction handover through to completion
* Leading site teams including engineers, supervisors, and subcontractors
* Driving programme delivery and ensuring key milestones are achieved
* Managing project budgets, cost control, and commercial performance alongside quantity surveyors
* Coordinating procurement and management of long‑lead mechanical plant and equipment
* Maintaining strong relationships with clients, consultants, and main contractors
* Managing subcontractor performance, productivity, and quality standards
* Identifying and managing project risks, variations and technical challenges
* Ensuring all works are delivered safely and in line with EHSQ requirements
* Leading commissioning activities and supporting successful project handover
* Providing regular progress updates, reporting and forecasting to senior management
* Driving quality standards and snag‑free delivery across projects
Qualifications
* Minimum 7+ years’ experience within the M&E / Mechanical Building Services industry
* Previous experience in a Mechanical Project Manager role delivering large‑scale projects
* HNC/HND or degree in Mechanical Engineering or Construction Management
* Strong commercial awareness and understanding of project financials
* SMSTS qualification essential
* Valid CSCS Black Card
* Excellent leadership and communication skills
* Strong knowledge of mechanical systems, commissioning and project delivery processes
* Experience using MS Project, Asta, Procore, Fieldview or similar platforms
* Ability to manage fast‑paced, technically complex projects
Desirable Experience
* Experience delivering Data Centre, Pharmaceutical or Industrial projects
* Membership of CIOB, APM or CIBSE
* Strong understanding of JCT and NEC contracts
* Experience managing multidisciplinary M&E teams
