A full-time vacancy has arisen within the Chemotherapy Day Unit at North Tees Hospital for a qualified nurse to join the multidisciplinary team. We are seeking an RGN with a specialist interest in Chemotherapy medicine to work alongside, under the supervision of the Ward Matron, to coordinate a high-quality service.
Main duties of the job
1. Contribute to providing a physical and psychological environment conducive to high standards of nursing care.
2. Assess care needs under the guidance of an experienced Practitioner.
3. Plan, implement, and evaluate care programmes under supervision.
4. Communicate effectively with patients, relatives, carers, and staff.
5. Liaise with the multidisciplinary team to deliver care.
6. May take charge of a Ward/department when deemed competent and safe.
7. Promote health education and illness prevention.
8. Participate in training and development programmes.
9. Take responsibility for personal professional development, including continuing education.
10. Comply with all legal, statutory, and local policies and procedures related to good practice.
