Head of Emergency Preparedness

We are looking for an individual with leadership experience and in‑depth knowledge of emergency preparedness, resilience, and response within the public sector. This post is accountable to the Chief Operating Officer.
The main duty of this role is to provide leadership in the trust, fulfilling the requirements of the emergency planning standards and the Civil Contingencies Act 2004, ensuring the adequacy and appropriateness of local emergency plans, preparedness, and business continuity planning arrangements. The post holder will interpret the Act (including present and future regulations) in a local context and devise and co‑ordinate strategies, policies, and procedures for the trust.
The post holder is responsible for ensuring that the trust complies with all relevant emergency preparedness, resilience, and response (EPRR) as set out in the NHS England EPRR framework.
