We have an exciting opportunity for a Bank Primary Care Nurse to join our Primary Care team at HMP Oakwood, a category C prison located in Wolverhampton.
HMP Oakwood is one of the largest prisons in the UK, housing over 1,500 men.
Responsibilities
* Work within a multi‑disciplinary team to deliver a nurse‑led service and prevent hospital admissions.
* Undertake medication rounds, dispense controlled medication, attend emergency response situations, assess patients, and undertake reception screening.
* Provide nurse‑led clinics to patient groups, supported by a multi‑disciplinary team.
* Deliver evidence‑based care personalised to patient needs, maintaining non‑judgemental standards.
* Promote best practice, clinical supervision, evidence‑based care, and continuous quality improvement.
* Share knowledge, skills and expertise to ensure safe care and build strong multi‑disciplinary teams.
Qualifications
* Registered Nurse (Adult) – NMC registration.
* Evidence of continued professional development.
* Understanding of the complexities of multi‑disciplinary and multi‑agency working.
* A non‑judgemental and compassionate approach.
* Excellent communication skills.
* Legal right to work in the UK; subject to additional vetting and security checks.
* Experience in a hospital, community or prison environment (preferred).

Working Hours & Pay
Mon – Sun: 7am – 6pm or 7am – 8pm.
Hourly rate: Weekday – £23.83; Weekend – £25.68.
