Are you passionate about transformation and interested in deploying the latest tools and technology to automate and digitise processes, including enabling GenAI? We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Finance Change professional to lead our Automation Community of Practice.

About the role:

The Finance Automation Lead will define our automation strategy, shape and lead a Community of Practice, and coordinate across Aviva’s global Markets and Group Functions to identify transformation opportunities, support solution design, and report benefits to senior stakeholders.

The role reports to the Global Head of Aviva’s in-house transformation team for Finance. You will support Finance in defining and meeting transformation objectives, work closely with IT and Risk colleagues, and manage a dedicated team in the UK and India.

The responsibilities include leading change professionals and data engineers to build and maintain automated solutions, from ETL processes to automated workflows and GenAI, ensuring best practices and future-proofed Finance processes.

Skills and experience:

* Knowledge of data engineering and automation tools (e.g., Power Automate, Appian, Dataiku, WTW Unify), R and Python (development skills not required), ETL technologies (Informatica, AWS Glue, Snowflake, PostgresSQL), data visualization tools (Qlik, Power BI, Tableau), and system architecture and integration.
* Soft skills include a consultative mindset, problem-solving, self-starting, collaboration, leadership, strong communication, and relationship-building skills.
* Strong project management skills, including Agile delivery methodology.
* Transformation experience from management consultancy or in-house change roles, working with business and technical stakeholders.
* Knowledge of Finance processes, risk, and control environments.

Benefits:

* Salary: £70,000 (National) - £85,000 (London), depending on location, skills, experience, and qualifications.
* Bonus: Up to 12% of annual salary, performance-dependent.
* Pension: Up to 14% contribution from Aviva.
* Holidays: 29 days plus bank holidays, with options to buy or sell up to 5 days.
* Discounts: Up to 40% on Aviva products and other retailers.
* Share plans: Up to £1,200 of free Aviva shares annually, and participation in Save As You Earn scheme.
* Policies: Parental and carer’s leave, flexible benefits including cycle to work.
* Community involvement: 3 paid volunteering days.
