Are you a Registered Occupational Therapist, Physiotherapist, Speech & Language Therapist, Dietitian or Nurse looking for a new challenge?
Do you want to make a difference in the lives of people with Motor Neurone Disease? In this pivotal role, you would coordinate care for people with MND across the region.
You would also develop the multi-disciplinary service provided by the North Midlands MND Care & Research Network, established in 2018.
Main duties of the job
Our ideal candidate will have a minimum of five years' experience as a registered practitioner, ideally with a background in neurological conditions and/or palliative care.
You must have excellent communication skills to have sensitive discussions and sound organisational skills to provide a high-quality coordinated service.
You will build on excellent links with multiple professionals through inter-agency working to enhance care quality and support the spread of expertise across the region through education and sharing good practice.
The coordinator will facilitate innovative and evidence-based practice through professional leadership, service evaluation, and compliance with NICE guidelines.

Person Specification - Qualifications
* Registered professional
* Degree in nursing or health/AHP related studies or evidence of academic progression with equivalent experience
* Desirable: Evidence of master level study
Knowledge, skills, and training
* Minimum of five years post-registration experience, including 1 year of management/leadership experience
* Senior qualified nurse or AHP with clinical experience in neurology or palliative care
* Excellent specialty knowledge
* Desirable: Leadership experience, healthcare audit experience, formal leadership or management training, understanding of NHS and UHNM strategy
