Role Overview: As a Cover Supervisor (CS), you will supervise classes during short-term teacher absences, ensuring students remain engaged and on task by delivering pre-prepared work. You will manage behaviour in line with school policies and support students’ learning where possible. Responsibilities as a Cover Supervisor: Supervising pupils during teacher absence in line with lesson plans. Delivering pre-prepared work and ensuring pupils remain focused. Managing classroom behaviour effectively and maintaining a positive learning environment. Reporting to teaching staff about student progress and behaviour. Assisting with other duties as required by the school. Requirements for Cover Supervisor: Previous experience working with students is preferred. Strong behaviour management skills and the ability to maintain a calm classroom environment. Flexibility and confidence to adapt to different school settings. A good understanding of safeguarding and child protection. Enhanced DBS registered on the Update Service, or willingness to apply.
