The IT Network Engineer will assist in the support of the Business’s IT Ecosystems, including Networking, Firewalls, Virtualization, Servers, and Cloud ecosystems. This role involves working with third-party support teams and implementing new technologies. It aligns IT Network Infrastructure with business requirements, supporting IT operations. The role includes hosting, user workplace, printing, and networks ecosystems. Contributing to project demand, you will also deliver infrastructure as needed. Supporting the IT Network Team in establishing a strategic IT Infrastructure Plan and Roadmap aligned with Business requirements. Identifying technology refresh and replacement initiatives as necessary. Problem ticket resolution and service requests within the defined SLA. Providing on call Network support out of standard office hours The role involves proactively identifying and addressing service and budget reductions while working with the IT Network Team. The role involves designing, implementing, and maintaining an effective network ecosystem to support business applications and operations. This includes designing and maintaining Network Infrastructure Services, such as Wide Area Networks, Local Area Networks, Firewalls, DNS, DHCP, and Wireless Networks. Network design documentation and procedures are also maintained. The IT Networks strategy is designed, including network device configuration and software delivery systems. Network security protocols are designed to protect the company's ecosystem, including firewalls, network segregation, URL filtering, and authentication. Networks are configured with known Recovery Point Objectives (RPO) and Recovery Time Objectives (RTO) and run effectively across all business systems. Participation in Change Control Boards and Demand Boards ensures effective changes and minimises downtime. Prioritising tasks and time management is crucial. Network services must have capacity management and monitoring in place to prevent SLA failures due to overcapacity issues. Compliance with policies and legislation is also ensured. The role also involves working with third-party partners to manage and maintain the ecosystem and participate in contract reviews, service reviews, tenders, and disputes. This role involves maintaining optimal IT infrastructure service performance, adhering to SLAs, supporting the IT Network Team in maintaining a Service Improvement Programme, resolving incidents, and working with other departments and teams on problem-solving. Additionally, managing projects within the infrastructure ecosystem for IT Service Improvements. Working Pattern of the IT Network Engineer The working pattern is 8 am - 4 pm this can be flexible around the candidate.
