Position: Level 2 Nursery Practitioner
Hours: 30 hours per week (Tuesday-Thursday, All year round)
Salary: £20,186.40
Welcome to Cherrystone Nursery, a nurturing and vibrant day nursery and preschool located in the heart of Stoneleigh, Surrey. We cater to children aged 3 months to 5 years and have recently transformed our outdoor spaces to include exciting features like a climbing frame, growing patch, and creative art area. Inside, our spacious rooms are designed to spark curiosity and support every stage of development.
We’re on the lookout for a passionate Nursery Practitioner to join our dedicated team. This full-time role involves working 30 hours a week, with shifts scheduled between 7:30 am and 6:00 pm. Please note, this is a year-round position, as we operate throughout the year.

Your Role as a Nursery Practitioner
In this role, you will:
* Ensure each child’s individual needs are met, providing high-quality care and education in a safe environment.
* Observe, assess, and plan engaging early years activities tailored to each child’s learning and development.
* Collaborate with your team, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to learn new skills.
* Adhere to company policies and procedures, ensuring they are regularly reviewed and applied.
* Follow risk assessments diligently and report any health and safety concerns to management.
* Support the holistic development of children, focusing on their physical, intellectual, social, and emotional growth.
Note: Duties and responsibilities may evolve, and additional tasks relevant to this role may be assigned.
What You’ll Need
To thrive in this position, you should have:
* Full and relevant Level 2 childcare qualification: Essential
* Fluency in written and spoken English: Essential
* Over 1 year’s experience in Early Years: Desirable
* Knowledge of the Statutory Framework for the EYFS: Desirable
