Role: Transport Planner - Heavy / Abnormal Haulage

Overview
Our client is a leading provider of heavy haulage and heavy lift transport solutions and is currently seeking a Transport Planner to support the planning and delivery of complex abnormal load movements across the UK.
This role is ideal for someone with a background in transport planning, logistics operations, heavy haulage operations, or surveying, who is looking to move into a specialist heavy haulage planning environment. Candidates do not need to tick every box - full training will be provided, including a structured period of operational and site-based experience (minimum 6 months) to build practical understanding of abnormal load movements.
You will work closely with operational, routing, and engineering teams to help plan safe, compliant, and efficient transport solutions for oversized and heavy cargo.
Key Responsibilities
1. Assist in the planning and coordination of heavy and abnormal load movements, ensuring routes are feasible, safe, and compliant.
2. Support the production of route feasibility studies, transport plans, and movement documentation.
