Key Responsibilities
* Teaching and assessment of undergraduate and professional students

Mandatory for New Entrants
* Complete the Teaching Essentials Programme within the first 6 months of employment
* Complete the Professional Development Award within 12 to 18 months
* Complete the Teaching Qualification in Further Education (TQFE) thereafter
* Register with the General Teaching Council (Scotland) as provisional or full registration
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
* SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation or equivalent significant experience in the specialist area
* Current knowledge of wiring regulations BS 7671 18th Edition IEE regs for electrical installation standards
* Evidence of continuous professional development
Demonstrable Knowledge Of
* Further Education in Scotland

Experience
* Electrical experience in the building services field or broader building services sector (essential)
* Flexible and innovative approaches to curriculum delivery, including use of new learning technologies
* Effective ICT skills and understanding of online learning
* Previous experience of individual or group guidance/supervision in a formal or informal setting
* Relevant industrial or practitioner experience within the appropriate discipline
* Experience teaching in a post‑compulsory education setting and assessment/moderation within SQA and the National Curriculum
* SVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation (required)
