We are seeking an experienced Civil Operator to maintain, operate, service and upgrade the waste and stormwater network in North Canterbury.This is a vital role to minimise flood and pollution risks in the region by ensuring the waste and stormwater network are operating optimally.
As part of this role, you will be performing a range of maintenance activities on a daily basis, including operating earthmoving equipment to repair and install drains, pipes, and stabilise river banks, etc. In addition, you will be performing water and soil sampling regularly to ensure the health of the network. Overall, you will play a key part in forming the region's water infrastructure planning and strategy for the future from a field's perspective.
To be successful, you will need to be an experienced operator or technician from the civil construction industry, and have the required licences for operating tracks and rollers. Licence in drain laying would be advantageous but not essential.

* Current Class 2 licence with WTR endorsements
* Plumbing experience is ideal but not essential
