Join Our Team as a Senior Structural Engineer!
Are you ready to take your career to the next level? We’re on the lookout for a Senior Structural Engineer to become a vital part of our dynamic Design team in Liverpool. Here, you’ll have the opportunity to work on an exciting variety of building types and site redevelopments across multiple sectors, including education, retail, blue light, conservation, and commercial projects for both public and private clients.
Your Role and Responsibilities
As a Senior Structural Engineer, you will play a key role in our Civil and Structural Engineering team. Your responsibilities will include:
* Producing and checking structural design calculations.
* Preparing and reviewing structural drawings, design models, and strategy reports.
* Coordinating design information with other technical disciplines, such as architecture and building services engineering.
* Setting and implementing structural concept design strategies, ensuring sustainability and low carbon targets are met.
* Conducting site visits, surveys, and inspections, while representing the team at project meetings.
* Mentoring junior engineers and technicians, fostering a culture of Continuing Professional Development.
* Assisting in obtaining necessary consents for structural designs through Building Control and Building Safety Act processes.
What We’re Looking For
This role is perfect for you if you:
* Hold a professional qualification such as BSc, MSc, BEng, or MEng in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering.
* Are a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and a member of the Institution of Structural Engineers or Institution of Civil Engineers.
* Have a solid understanding of structural steelwork and reinforced concrete design, along with experience in applying CDM regulations and UK construction techniques.
* Have experience designing various building structures within a multi-disciplinary team and feel confident attending design team and project meetings.
* Possess a full driving license for site visits.
